Party,羊排及其它
最近在一周的时间内连续在我家开了2次dinner party。第一次是欢送2个国内的访问学者(其中之一是原系里的同事)结束高访回国,同时欢迎我南宁老乡(也是高访,广西水利厅的)和他家人来美国探亲,还有3个在读的博士硕士和博士后,加上我们2个东道主一共10人。菜肴没有什么创新,基本是老一套:阎氏盐水鸭(每次都受好评),醉鸡,卤牛肉,红焖大虾,笋干红烧小排,家常豆腐,清炒意大利西葫芦(自己种的),凉拌黄瓜(自己种的too), 还有朋友带来的辣烤鸡腿和卤猪肚,满满当当一大桌子。饮料主攻冰镇百威啤酒另加橙汁,雪碧等。没有拍照。 在宴会开始前,第一次来我家的同志们在楼同学的带领下参观了我家院子,对我家后院小菜地格外感兴趣,详细了解了我们在米国小城的后知青现代生活,来过我家多次的同志熟门熟路的下到地下室来了一场乒乓球单打比赛。晚宴在座的10个人中,囊括了50后,60后,70后,80后和90后5代人(以10年为一代沟),在送旧迎新的热烈气氛中,共同举杯整了无数轮酒,同时畅谈了国内外大好形势。饭后移到起居室吃西瓜,喝茶,看中文电视,最后在老毕的《梦想剧场》中被忽悠的结束宴会。 没隔2天,第2场party 又开始了,这次的规模很小,来宾是2个学成归国发展的新科海龟(经济Ph.D), 其中一位是江南大学数学系老师的儿子。菜肴不想再搞老一套了,想来想去,想起7月初去芝加哥朋友家时,他们自己烤的羊排很不错,可以试试,所以这次以西餐为主,主菜就是烤新西兰小羊排,红葡萄酒,小菜有意大利面条色拉,生黄瓜,素炒什景等。 干意大利螺丝面一磅,煮熟晾凉待用,加熟色拉虾,腌橄榄,小西红柿(自种),用橄榄油,意大利醋,盐,糖,黑胡椒,洋葱蓉,蒜蓉根据自己口味调好,加进面里混和均匀,最后撒上几片九层塔(罗勒)叶子(自种的)即可。酸酸甜甜,夏天吃很爽口。 Sam’s club 买的新西兰小羊排2磅,用橄榄油抹一遍,然后加海盐,黑胡椒,BBQ 用的干料淹2小时,生铸铁锅加热放入羊排略煎羊排2面,烤箱450F 预热,然后连锅带肉放入烤箱内12–15分钟(中间翻一次面),出炉即可。 这个没有什么技术含量,就是切条装盘,主要是黄瓜是自己种的(实际上是从朋友家交换来的),超级新鲜爽脆,吃一片羊排,在吃一条黄瓜,非常清口。
